I know most Event Profs out there will definitely find it interesting and agree with much of what the writer had to say.
Whether it's a wedding or social gala planning an event is not an easy job. There is so much involved and It requires experience, education and talent to be successful at the professional level of being an Event Planner. However, everyone seems to think that the job is very easy and anyone can be one that is until they actually have to do the job and that it entails far more than decorating a ballroom or selecting a color palette. Being an Event Prof means that you must know how to research, design, plan, coordinate, and manage an event within a scheduled timeline and budget. Failure to be able to actual understand and know how to do these things will more than not cause your event to be unsuccessful. If I had a penny for every time I met someone who told me that they were an Event Planner I would no longer need to work because I would be quite wealthy. However, I'm never disrespectful when it comes to listening to someone express their livelihood. Yet, after speaking with them I usually find out that what they're actually doing is more of a hobby than an actual profession. That's why I thought I would share this article that I read and found quite interesting.

Centerpieces can be absolutely breathtaking at any event and what most guests remember! It's part of what the guests are expecting in reference to how beautiful the decor design of the event will be. Centerpieces can be extremely expensive or quite economical depending on your budget. In my years of experience I have always chosen to have gorgeous and stunning centerpieces and have been able to do both expensive and economical. However, which ever I have chosen to use at an event they have always been exquisite, elegant and gorgeous! Most clients always think that having elegant centerpieces will exceed their budget and sometimes attempt to opt out of having them. As a Event Professional I always encourage my clients to have an event with beautiful decor versus not.

One of the first thing's to remember when creating your seating arrangement is to always plan and start your guest list early. Start by perhaps creating a spreadsheet of tentative guest or list on a sheet of paper everyone that's possibly attending. Decide if you want a head or sweetheart table for the bride and groom. Do you want to do traditional seating or switch things up a little bit more modern day? For peace of mind always make certain guests who do not get along do not sit together. Sitting friends together is always a hit but mix and matching old friends with new ones is also a cool and great idea. Whatever you decide just try and make certain everyone is happy with their seating arrangements so that they can have a great time!
